Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg, established in 1946, is recognized for a broad repertoire spanning from Baroque to contemporary works, with a particular strength in German Romantic composers and a commitment to showcasing both established masterpieces and lesser-known compositions. The concert on July 19, 2026 will be held at the Opernhaus Nürnberg. Originally opened in 1903, the Opernhaus underwent extensive renovations completed in 2017, restoring many of its original Art Nouveau features while incorporating modern stage technology. Designed by architect Martin Dülfer, the building is notable for its horseshoe-shaped auditorium offering excellent acoustics and sightlines. Throughout its history, the Opernhaus has been a significant cultural institution within Nuremberg and Bavaria, hosting opera, ballet, and concert performances. It is considered one of Germany’s most beautiful opera houses.
