Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg, the Nuremberg State Philharmonic, is recognized for its broad repertoire encompassing classical and romantic works alongside 20th and 21st-century compositions. The concert on June 30, 2026, will be held at the Opernhaus Nürnberg (Nuremberg Opera House). Inaugurated in 1903, the Opernhaus is historically significant as one of the first German opera houses with a “Festspielhaus” design – specifically built for Wagnerian opera performances, prioritizing acoustics and stagecraft over purely visual grandeur. Though it underwent extensive damage during World War II, it was meticulously reconstructed to its original form between 1947 and 1956, retaining much of its original architectural detail and acoustic properties.

The Opernhaus is renowned for its excellent sightlines and intimate atmosphere despite its size, seating approximately 800 patrons.
