Squirrel Nut Zippers will be performing at The Bellwether in Los Angeles, California on December 3, 2026. The band is known for their unique blend of original music drawing heavily from 1930s and 40s jazz, swing, blues, and early rock and roll. Often categorized as swing revival, their sound incorporates elements of dixieland, hot jazz, and cabaret, frequently featuring horns, upright bass, and distinctive vocal arrangements. They initially gained prominence in the mid-1990s with albums like *Hot* and *Perennial Noveau*, before disbanding in 2000 and later reuniting in 2007.

The Bellwether is a live music venue located in Los Angeles’ Echo Park neighborhood. Originally built as a church in 1928, it was converted into a performance space and operated for several years as a popular independent music club. It closed in 2018 but was subsequently purchased and renovated by actor Elijah Wood and partner Zach Cowie; reopening in February 2024.
