Sparta will be performing at The Earl in Atlanta, Georgia on September 12, 2026. Sparta is an American post-hardcore band formed in 2001 from the remnants of the group At the Drive-In. Their music is characterized by dynamic shifts between melodic passages and aggressive, emotionally charged instrumentation, often incorporating elements of progressive rock and alternative metal. Lyrically, their work frequently explores themes of internal struggle and societal observation. The band released three studio albums – *Wiretap*, *Porcelain*, and *Threes* – before disbanding in 2010 and reforming in 2018.

The Earl, located in the East Atlanta Village neighborhood, has been a significant fixture of Atlanta’s independent music scene since its establishment in 1999. Originally conceived as a listening room focused on showcasing singer-songwriters, it quickly evolved to embrace a broader range of genres including rock, punk, metal, and experimental music. The venue is known for its intimate setting—with a capacity around 225 people—and its support of both local and touring acts.
