Sparta will be performing at The Bottleneck in Lawrence, Kansas on July 2nd, 2026. Sparta is an American post-hardcore band originally formed in 2001 from the remnants of the earlier group At the Drive-In. Their music is characterized by dynamic shifts between melodic and aggressive passages, often incorporating intricate guitar work and emotionally charged vocals. Lyrically, their songs frequently explore themes of internal struggle and disillusionment. The band released three studio albums – *Arsonists of the Hearth* (2002), *Porcelain* (2004), and *Threes* (2006) – before going on hiatus in 2008, later reforming for sporadic performances.

The Bottleneck is a long-standing live music venue located in Lawrence, Kansas. Established in 1979, it has become a significant hub for both local and touring acts across various genres, particularly indie rock, punk, and alternative music.
