West Central Park is a 68-acre public park located in the West Central neighborhood of Olympia. Established in 1938 as a Works Progress Administration project during the Great Depression, it initially served as a recreational space for the growing community. The park features a mix of open lawns, forested areas, walking trails, a playground, and a seasonal wading pool. It has hosted numerous community events over the years, including concerts, festivals and farmers markets. The park’s natural amphitheater-like slope makes it a suitable venue for outdoor performances; however large scale concerts are infrequent occurrences. The park is maintained by the City of Olympia Parks, Arts & Recreation department.
