Slow Cooked is a London-based band creating music generally described as post-punk with elements of shoegaze and dream pop. Their sound incorporates driving basslines, textured guitar work, and introspective vocals, often exploring themes of modern alienation and urban life. They have released several EPs independently, gaining recognition within the London underground music scene for their energetic live performances and distinctive sonic aesthetic.

The Shacklewell Arms, located in Dalston, East London, is a well-established independent music venue with a history dating back to the 1960s, originally functioning as a traditional pub. Over the decades it transitioned into a significant space for emerging and established alternative music acts. Known for its intimate setting and raw atmosphere, The Shacklewell Arms has hosted early performances by artists who later achieved wider acclaim, becoming a key location in London’s vibrant live music ecosystem. The venue maintains a focus on showcasing diverse genres including indie rock, post-punk, electronic and experimental music. It's known for its relatively small capacity – approximately 200 people – fostering close interaction between performers and audiences. The building itself retains much of its original pub character alongside its function as a performance space.
