Slim Jim Phantom, renowned drummer and founding member of the Stray Cats, is scheduled to perform at the Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) in Morristown, New Jersey on August 16, 2026. Phantom’s musical style is deeply rooted in rockabilly revival, blending elements of early rock and roll, blues, and swing. He’s recognized for his distinctive upright drumming technique and energetic performances that helped define the neo-rockabilly movement of the early 1980s. Beyond the Stray Cats, Phantom has collaborated with a diverse range of artists including Mick Jagger, Stevie Van Zandt, and Joan Jett.

The Mayo Performing Arts Center is a prominent non-profit performing arts facility located in Morristown. Originally opened as a vaudeville house named the Community Theatre in 1937, it underwent significant renovations and was rebranded as MPAC in 1994.
