Sirba Octet will perform at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, France on April 25, 2027. The ensemble is recognized for its interpretations of traditional Klezmer music, blending historical authenticity with contemporary arrangements and improvisational elements. Formed in 2014, Sirba Octet distinguishes itself through instrumentation typically uncommon in Klezmer – incorporating clarinet, violin, cello, bass, drums, and a brass section – resulting in a rich and dynamic sound. Their repertoire extends beyond purely traditional pieces, often including original compositions inspired by Klezmer melodies and rhythms.

The Théâtre des Champs-Elysées opened in 1913 and quickly became a landmark of Art Deco architecture and a significant venue for the performing arts. It was conceived as a response to the perceived lack of suitable spaces for modern artistic expression in Paris at the time. Notable for its acoustics and elegant design, it has hosted premieres of works by composers such as Igor Stravinsky’s *The Rite of Spring*, which famously debuted there amidst a controversial reception.
