Sinkane will be performing at Guelph Lake Conservation Area on July 19, 2026. Sinkane, led by Ahmed Gallab, creates music often described as a blend of indie rock, funk, soul, and Sudanese pop influences. Gallab’s compositions frequently incorporate layered instrumentation, complex rhythms, and elements of East African musical traditions alongside Western pop structures. The project has released several critically acclaimed albums and is known for energetic live performances.

Guelph Lake Conservation Area is a 1,700-acre park located near Guelph, Ontario, Canada – not the United States as initially specified. It's managed by Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA). Established in 1957 with the creation of the artificial Guelph Lake via damming the Speed River, the area provides flood control and water conservation benefits alongside recreational opportunities.

The conservation area features diverse ecosystems including forests, meadows and shoreline habitats. Popular activities include hiking on over eight kilometers of trails, camping (with over 300 campsites), fishing, boating (electric motors only), and birdwatching. The park is a significant local destination for outdoor recreation and environmental education.
