Experience Singapore Symphony Orchestra live on October 15th
The Singapore Symphony Orchestra is scheduled to perform at the Qintai Concert Hall in Wuhan, China on October 15, 2026. The Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) is recognized for its versatility, performing a broad repertoire encompassing Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and 20th/21st-century works. While maintaining a strong foundation in orchestral standards, the SSO frequently commissions and performs contemporary pieces, and actively promotes Southeast Asian composers and musical traditions. The orchestra is known for its collaborations with internationally renowned soloists and conductors.
Qintai Concert Hall, opened in 2007, is a landmark cultural venue in Wuhan. Designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki, its exterior resembles two musical notes – ‘do’ and ‘re’ – from the solfège scale. The hall boasts excellent acoustics and is equipped to host a wide range of performances including orchestral concerts, operas, ballets, chamber music recitals and large-scale conferences. It serves as a primary performance space for the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra but also regularly welcomes national and international ensembles. The hall's design incorporates elements of both modern architecture and traditional Chinese aesthetics.
