Simfonični orkester Opere SNG Maribor (Maribor Opera’s Symphony Orchestra) is the resident orchestra of the Slovene National Theatre Maribor, specializing in operatic and ballet repertoire alongside a selection of symphonic works. Dvorana Ondine Otta Klasinc, located within the Slovene National Theatre Maribor complex, is a significant concert and opera hall in Slovenia. Opened in 1951 following extensive reconstruction after wartime damage, it was originally known as the ‘Opera House Hall’. In 2006 it was renamed in honour of Otta Klasinc, a prominent Slovenian composer and conductor associated with the theatre. The hall is noted for its acoustics and relatively intimate size – seating approximately 640 people – contributing to a direct connection between performers and audience. It has hosted numerous national and international artists and remains a central venue for musical events in the region. The hall underwent further renovations in recent years to modernize facilities while preserving its historical character.
