The Silkroad Ensemble will perform at The Vine Theater at Del Lago Resort in Waterloo, New York on August 21, 2026. The Silkroad Ensemble, founded by cellist Yo-Yo Ma in 2000, is a renowned musical collective that seeks to promote cross-cultural understanding through the creation and performance of new music. Their style blends traditions from across the globe, incorporating elements of classical music with influences from cultures along the historical Silk Road – encompassing regions of Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Instrumentation frequently includes both Western orchestral instruments alongside traditional instruments from various cultures like the Chinese *pipa*, Persian *kamancheh*, and Indian tabla.

The Vine Theater is an intimate performance venue located within the Del Lago Resort & Casino complex. Del Lago Resort & Casino opened in 2017, representing a significant investment in the Finger Lakes region’s tourism industry. The Vine Theater specifically was designed to host a variety of entertainment options including concerts, comedy shows and other live performances.
