Shelly Berg will perform at the Irvine Barclay Theatre on September 16, 2026. Berg is a pianist and composer known for a distinctive style blending jazz improvisation with classical structures and influences from Brazilian music. The Irvine Barclay Theatre, located on the campus of the University of California, Irvine, opened in 1981. Designed by the architectural firm Pereira & Luckman, it’s recognized for its excellent acoustics and intimate 784-seat capacity. The theatre serves as a major performing arts venue for Orange County, hosting a diverse range of presentations including dance, theater, classical music, opera, and contemporary performances. It’s frequently utilized by both professional touring companies and student ensembles from UCI’s Claire Trevor School of the Arts.
