Opened in 1969, it was designed by Pedro Teves and Wenceslau de Lima, with acoustic consultancy from Leo Beranek. The hall is celebrated for its exceptional acoustics, considered among the best in Europe. It’s primarily designed for chamber music and solo recitals but also hosts smaller orchestral performances.
