Originally built as a gunpowder factory – its name directly translates to “the gunpowder works” – it operated from 1898 to 1962. The site fell into disrepair following its closure but was subsequently renovated and opened as a public space in 2017. Today, Kruttverket hosts a variety of events including concerts, exhibitions, and workshops.
