The Sam Grisman Project will perform at the Shea Theater Arts Center in Turners Falls, Massachusetts on October 2nd, 2026. The Sam Grisman Project blends progressive bluegrass, jazz, and Americana influences, often incorporating improvisation and showcasing instrumental virtuosity. Led by mandolinist Sam Grisman – son of legendary Dawggrass pioneer David Grisman – the group features a dynamic ensemble known for energetic live performances and innovative arrangements of both original compositions and traditional tunes.

The Shea Theater Arts Center is a restored 1923 vaudeville house located on the Connecticut River in Turners Falls. Originally built as a movie palace and performance venue, it operated successfully for decades before falling into disrepair in the late 20th century. A significant community fundraising effort led to its renovation and reopening in 1991. The theater now functions as a multi-disciplinary arts center presenting film, live music, theater productions, and community events. It’s recognized for its well-preserved architectural details reflective of its early 20th-century origins and serves as a cultural hub for the surrounding region. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
