Led by mandolinist Sam Grisman—son of legendary Dawg-style innovator David Grisman—the group is known for its energetic performances and instrumental prowess, often featuring original compositions alongside reinterpretations of traditional tunes. Their sound incorporates sophisticated harmonies, intricate arrangements, and a willingness to explore extended improvisational passages.

Rams Head On Stage is a well-established live music venue located in downtown Annapolis. Originally opened in 1997 as a sister venue to the larger Rams Head Live in Baltimore (which has since closed), it quickly became a popular spot for both nationally touring acts and regional performers. The venue is known for its intimate setting – holding approximately 300 standing or 250 seated guests – and its focus on showcasing a diverse range of musical genres including rock, blues, folk, country, and jazz.
