SALÒ is scheduled to perform a concert on September 11, 2026, at Hauptplatz in Fehring, Austria. The band is recognized for its distinctive blend of darkwave, neoclassical, and electronic body music (EBM) influences, often incorporating operatic vocals and theatrical elements into their performances. Formed in Belgium in 1986, SALÒ gained prominence within the gothic and alternative music scenes throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, continuing to release albums and tour internationally.

Hauptplatz, meaning “main square” in German, serves as the central public space in Fehring, a market town in the district of Südoststeiermark, Styria. Historically, Hauptplatz functioned as the traditional marketplace and focal point for communal life. The square’s current layout largely reflects renovations completed in the 1970s which aimed to modernize the area while preserving its historical character. It is framed by buildings representing various architectural styles spanning several centuries, including examples of Baroque and Gründerzeit architecture. Today it continues to host local events, markets and gatherings making it a significant cultural hub for the community.
