Rumer, the British singer-songwriter known for her interpretations of jazz and bossa nova standards alongside original compositions heavily influenced by Karen Carpenter, will be performing at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) on October 13, 2026. Her music is often characterised by sophisticated arrangements, lush vocals, and a nostalgic quality drawing from the 1970s soft rock and adult contemporary genres. Rumer – whose real name is Sarah Joyce – gained prominence with her debut album *Season of Change* in 2010, achieving critical acclaim and commercial success.

The Bournemouth International Centre opened in 1984 and is a major multi-purpose venue located on the seafront in Bournemouth, Dorset. It comprises a large concert hall with a capacity exceeding 3,000, alongside smaller halls used for exhibitions, conferences and other events. The BIC has hosted a diverse range of performers over its history including musical acts, comedians and theatrical productions. It underwent significant refurbishment in the early 2000s to enhance its facilities and accessibility. The venue is owned and managed by BH Live, a not-for-profit leisure trust.
