Experience Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra live on September 3rd
The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra will perform at the Philharmonie de Paris on September 3, 2026. Internationally renowned, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra is celebrated for its distinctive sound – often described as possessing a rich, warm tone and a pronounced clarity. The orchestra’s history dates back to 1888, initially founded by members of the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and it has cultivated a tradition of interpreting both standard repertoire and contemporary works with a focus on nuanced phrasing and balance.
The Philharmonie de Paris, inaugurated in January 2015, is a modern concert hall complex situated in the Parc de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Designed by Jean Nouvel, it features a Grande Salle with exceptional acoustics intended for symphonic music, as well as smaller spaces for chamber music and experimental performances. The building aims to be accessible to diverse audiences and serves as a national center for musical creation and education. It replaced earlier venues associated with Parisian musical life and quickly established itself as a significant cultural landmark. The complex incorporates innovative architectural elements including reflective surfaces and adjustable acoustic panels to optimize sound quality.
