The Folklore Rooms is an intimate live music venue located in Brighton’s North Laine district. Established in 2016, it has quickly become a focal point for showcasing emerging and established artists within the folk, Americana, and singer-songwriter genres. The venue is deliberately designed to create a listening room atmosphere; it's known for its warm acoustics and relatively small capacity – approximately 80 people – fostering close connections between performers and audiences. It prioritises acoustic performances and aims to provide a platform for authentic musical expression. The space previously operated as a vintage furniture shop before being transformed into a dedicated music venue by its founders, focusing on creating an environment that celebrates storytelling through song.
