De Roma is a historic concert venue located in Antwerp, Belgium. Originally constructed in 1928 as a cinema – hence its name meaning “Rome” in Dutch – it quickly became a popular entertainment destination. Over the decades it transitioned through various uses including a bingo hall before being renovated and reopening as a dedicated music venue in 2002. The building retains much of its original Art Deco architecture, creating a visually striking atmosphere. It’s known for its intimate setting and excellent acoustics which have hosted a diverse range of international artists across genres like indie rock, world music and jazz. The venue has a capacity of approximately 650 people and is considered an important cultural hub within Antwerp.
