Roomful of Blues is scheduled to perform at The Strand Theater in Hudson Falls, New York on September 18, 2026. The band is recognized for its dynamic performances rooted in blues, rhythm and blues, and jump blues traditions. Formed in 1969, Roomful of Blues has consistently featured a strong horn section alongside skilled vocalists and instrumentalists, evolving over the decades while maintaining a commitment to authentic blues sounds. They have a history of incorporating elements of swing, rock and roll, and soul into their music.

The Strand Theater, located in the Village of Hudson Falls, opened in 1920 as a vaudeville house and cinema. Originally designed by architect E.C. Peterson, it quickly became a central entertainment venue for the region. After periods of decline and closure in the late 20th century, a significant restoration project was undertaken by the Hudson Falls Historical Society beginning in 2003. This revitalization aimed to preserve the theater’s architectural features – including its ornate plasterwork and original seating – and return it to its former glory as a performing arts center. The theater now hosts a variety of events including concerts, films, and community performances.
