Rodrigo y Gabriela are a Mexican acoustic guitar duo renowned for their energetic and innovative instrumental compositions. Their music blends flamenco, rock, and metal influences, characterized by rapid-fire fingerpicking, percussive techniques on the guitar bodies, and complex rhythmic interplay. Originally busking on the streets of Ireland in the late 1990s, they gained international recognition for their unique sound and captivating live performances. They typically perform without setlists, improvising and adapting arrangements during shows.

Zilker Park, the venue for their October 3rd, 2026 concert, is a 351-acre recreational area located in the heart of Austin, Texas. Established in 1934 through land donations and city purchases, it’s a central hub for community events and outdoor activities. The park features Barton Springs Pool – a naturally fed spring-fed swimming pool – as well as hiking trails, botanical gardens, a disc golf course, and open green spaces. Zilker Park has hosted numerous large-scale concerts and festivals throughout its history including Austin City Limits Music Festival. Its relatively flat terrain and expansive capacity make it suitable for accommodating substantial audiences. The park is managed by the Austin Parks and Recreation Department.
