Experience Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra live on October 3rd
Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra are scheduled to perform at The Met in Bury, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom on October 3rd, 2026. The band is known for their unique blend of Western Swing, Gypsy Jazz, Blues and early Jazz sounds, often described as “vintage swing with a contemporary twist”. Their performances feature tight arrangements, instrumental virtuosity – particularly from Heron’s guitar and vocals – and a lively stage presence. They have built a dedicated following through extensive touring and several album releases.
The Met is a multi-arts venue located in the heart of Bury. Originally opened in 1974 as Bury Metropolitan Arts Centre, it underwent a significant £3.5 million redevelopment completed in 2016. The building itself incorporates the Victorian former Mechanics’ Institute, retaining many original architectural features while providing modern facilities. It hosts a diverse programme including theatre, music, dance, comedy, visual arts and film. As a registered charity, The Met aims to provide accessible arts experiences for the local community and beyond; it is also a National Portfolio Organisation supported by Arts Council England. The venue offers both large-scale performance spaces and more intimate studio areas.
