Ravi Coltrane, son of jazz saxophone icon John Coltrane, will perform at the Raven Theater in Healdsburg, California on September 20, 2026. His musical style is rooted in post-bop and contemporary jazz, often characterized by a searching, intensely lyrical saxophone sound. While deeply influenced by his father’s harmonic explorations and spiritual approach to music, Ravi Coltrane has developed a distinct voice incorporating elements of avant-garde and modal jazz alongside more traditional structures. He frequently leads ensembles featuring both original compositions and interpretations of pieces from the jazz canon, as well as works by his father.

The Raven Theater is a performing arts venue located in the heart of Healdsburg. Originally constructed in 1955 as a single-screen movie theater, it underwent significant renovations in 2018 to transform it into a multi-purpose space hosting live music performances, theatrical productions, film screenings and community events. The renovation retained much of the building's original architectural charm while updating its technical capabilities for modern performances.
