Lokschuppen Kulturzentrum Jever is a cultural center housed within a former railway repair shed (“Lokschuppen” translates to engine shed). Originally built in 1914 as part of the Oldenburg County Railway infrastructure, the building fell into disuse after railway operations ceased in the 1980s. It was subsequently renovated and repurposed as a venue for concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions, and other cultural events beginning in 1992.

The venue is recognized for its unique industrial architecture and intimate atmosphere, accommodating a diverse range of artistic programming. It serves as an important regional hub for both established artists and emerging talent within Lower Saxony and beyond.
