Punch Brothers are scheduled to perform at the Tower Theatre in Bend, Oregon on October 3, 2026. The band is recognized for their innovative approach to bluegrass music, blending traditional instrumentation and vocal harmonies with influences from jazz, classical, and progressive rock. Their compositions often feature complex arrangements, sophisticated lyrical content, and virtuosic instrumental performances. Formed in 2006, the group consists of Chris Thile on mandolin, Noam Pikelny on banjo, Victor Wooten on bass, Gabe Witcher on fiddle, and Brian Haner on guitar.
The Tower Theatre originally opened in 1940 as a single-screen movie house. Throughout its history it served as a primary entertainment venue for Bend residents. Following periods of decline and closure, a significant restoration project was completed in 2019, revitalizing the building and updating its technical capabilities while preserving its historic Art Deco architecture. The restored theatre now functions as a multi-purpose venue hosting live music performances, film screenings, theatrical productions and community events. It is a prominent landmark within Bend’s downtown cultural district and has a seating capacity of approximately 500 people.
