Punch Brothers are scheduled to perform at SONO Centrum in Brno, Czechia on January 26, 2027. The band is recognized for their progressive bluegrass music, blending traditional instrumentation – banjo, mandolin, guitar, fiddle, and bass – with influences from jazz, classical, and rock. Their compositions are known for complex arrangements, sophisticated harmonies, and lyrical depth, often exceeding the boundaries typically associated with the bluegrass genre. Formed in 2006 as a continuation of the band The Infamous Stringdusters’ early lineup with Chris Thile, Punch Brothers have garnered critical acclaim and a dedicated following through numerous albums and extensive touring.

SONO Centrum is a multi-purpose venue located in the industrial area of Žižkov in Brno. Originally a functional building serving industrial purposes during the communist era, it was transformed into a cultural space in 2017. SONO hosts a diverse range of events including concerts (spanning rock, jazz, electronic and world music), theatre performances, exhibitions and club nights. It is characterized by its raw architectural aesthetic retaining elements of its industrial past alongside modern technical facilities.
