Punch Brothers will be performing at the Shubert Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts on November 13, 2026. The band is recognized for their innovative approach to bluegrass music, blending traditional instrumentation and vocal harmonies with elements of jazz, classical, and progressive rock. Formed in 2006, Punch Brothers features musicians Chris Thile on mandolin, Noam Pikelny on banjo, Gabe Witcher on fiddle, Paul Kowert on bass, and Chris Eldridge on guitar. They are known for complex arrangements, instrumental virtuosity, and thought-provoking lyrical content.

The Shubert Theatre originally opened in 1908 as a venue for vaudeville and legitimate theatre productions. Designed by Frank H. Atwood, it is part of the Washington Street Theatre District and has hosted numerous pre-Broadway tryouts and touring companies throughout its history. The theatre underwent a significant restoration in the early 1990s which preserved many of its original architectural details including ornate plasterwork and a grand lobby. Today, the Shubert continues to present a diverse range of performances including Broadway tours, concerts, dance performances and comedy shows; it is one of Boston’s longest continuously operating theatres.
