Punch Brothers are scheduled to perform at the Royal Oak Music Theater in Royal Oak, Michigan on September 10, 2026. Formed in 2006, Punch Brothers—comprising Chris Thile, Noam Pikelny, Gabe Witcher, Paul Kowert, and Billy Contreras—are known for complex arrangements, virtuosic playing, and lyrical depth that often explores narrative storytelling.

Royal Oak Music Theater originally opened in 1927 as a vaudeville house and movie palace named the Royal Oak Theatre. Throughout its history it has hosted a diverse range of performers including musical acts, comedians and theatrical productions. The venue underwent significant renovations in the late 1990s transforming it into a dedicated live music space while retaining much of its original architectural detail. It is currently operated by AEG Presents and maintains a capacity of approximately 2,400 attendees. The theater is a prominent fixture within the Metro Detroit music scene known for its acoustics and intimate atmosphere despite its size.
