Experience Punch Brothers live on November 8th

Punch Brothers will be performing at the Paramount Theater in Rutland City, Vermont on November 8, 2026. The band is recognized for their innovative approach to bluegrass music, blending traditional instrumentation and vocal harmonies with influences from jazz, classical, and progressive rock. Often described as “newgrass,” their compositions feature intricate arrangements, virtuosic musicianship, and thoughtful songwriting. The group consists of Chris Thile on mandolin, Noam Pikelny on banjo, Victor Wooten on bass, Paul Kowert on upright bass, and Gabe Witcher on fiddle.

The Paramount Theater originally opened in 1913 as a vaudeville house and movie palace. Over its history it transitioned through various uses including a cinema and periods of disuse. A significant restoration project completed in 1998 revitalized the theater, returning it to its former grandeur. Today, the Paramount serves as a performing arts center hosting a diverse range of events including concerts, theatrical productions, dance performances and films. The building is noted for its ornate interior featuring detailed plasterwork and architectural details representative of early 20th-century theater design; it’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
