Folk Concerts in Seattle

Experience Punch Brothers live on October 1st

Punch Brothers will perform at the Moore Theater in Seattle, Washington on October 1, 2026. The band is recognized for their innovative approach to bluegrass and acoustic music, blending traditional instrumentation with elements of jazz, classical, and progressive rock. Formed in 2006, Punch Brothers features Chris Thile on mandolin and vocals, alongside Gabe Witcher on fiddle, Paul Kowert on bass, Chris Eldridge on guitar, and Jamey Farrar on banjo. Their compositions are often characterized by complex arrangements, intricate harmonies, and Thile’s sophisticated songwriting.

The Moore Theater opened in 1907 as a flagship venue for the Seattle Theatre Company. Originally designed by Edwin W. Houghton as a venue for vaudeville and legitimate theatre productions, it underwent significant renovations in 1994 to transform it into a primarily concert and performance space. The theater is known for its ornate architectural details reflecting Edwardian styles – including its detailed plasterwork and original seating – and relatively intimate capacity of approximately 1800 seats. It has hosted a diverse range of artists across multiple genres throughout its history and remains a prominent fixture within Seattle's cultural landscape.
