Punch Brothers will perform at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts in Storrs, Connecticut on November 7, 2026. The band is recognized for their innovative approach to bluegrass music, blending traditional instrumentation – banjo, mandolin, guitar, bass, and fiddle – with elements of progressive rock, classical, and jazz. Their compositions are characterized by complex arrangements, virtuosic playing, and thoughtful lyrical content often exploring themes of loss, faith and the human condition. Formed in 2006, Punch Brothers have received numerous accolades including Grammy nominations and recognition for pushing the boundaries of acoustic music.

Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts resides on the campus of the University of Connecticut. Opened in 1980, it functions as a multi-disciplinary arts venue presenting a variety of performances including dance, theatre, music and lectures. The center’s primary performance space is a proscenium theatre seating approximately 1,000 patrons. It is designed to accommodate both large-scale productions and more intimate performances. Throughout its history Jorgensen Center has hosted a diverse range of nationally and internationally renowned artists contributing to the cultural life of the university and surrounding community.
