They gained prominence through self-released recordings before signing with Elektra Records. Throughout their career, the band has consistently blended technical proficiency with melodic accessibility, earning them a dedicated following within the smooth jazz genre.

The Dell Music Center is an outdoor amphitheater located within Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. Opened in 1956 as the Robin Hood Dell, it was originally conceived as a free concert venue offering classical music performances to the public. Over time, its programming expanded to include a diverse range of musical genres including jazz, pop, and contemporary artists. Renamed The Dell Music Center in 2018 following renovations and improvements, it remains a significant cultural venue for the city and continues to host numerous concerts annually during the warmer months.
