Oslo Domkirke, completed in 1697, serves as the main church for the Church of Norway Diocese of Oslo. Designed by Jørgen Penne, it was built on the site of earlier churches dating back to the medieval period. The cathedral’s architecture represents Baroque style, though it underwent significant renovations in the 19th and early 20th centuries led by Wilhelm von Hanno and Georg Andreas Bull, resulting in a neo-Gothic interior.

The building features notable artwork including paintings by Edvard Munch – specifically a version of his famous work “The Scream” – and stained-glass windows designed by Emanuel Vigeland.
