Experience Oslo Domkor live on July 18th
Oslo Domkor will perform at Oslo Domkirke (Oslo Cathedral) on July 18, 2026. Oslo Domkor is a mixed choir with a tradition of performing both sacred and secular choral music, encompassing works from the Renaissance period through to contemporary compositions. The choir frequently focuses on a cappella repertoire, showcasing the blend and precision of its vocal ensemble, but also collaborates with instrumentalists for larger-scale performances. Their repertoire includes works by Norwegian composers alongside internationally renowned figures in choral music.
Oslo Domkirke, completed in 1697, is the main church for the Church of Norway Diocese of Oslo. Built on the site of several earlier churches dating back to the 13th century, it holds significant historical and cultural importance for Norway. The cathedral’s architecture represents Baroque style with notable contributions from Johan Christopher Harboe who redesigned the interior in the 18th century after a fire. It has been the site of numerous royal coronations, weddings, and funerals, including those of members of the Norwegian Royal Family.
