Oscar Jockel will perform at Theater am Gleis in Winterthur, Switzerland on May 7, 2027. Jockel’s musical style is generally described as experimental electronic music, often incorporating elements of ambient, drone, and minimalist composition. His work frequently utilizes field recordings and explores themes of space, perception, and the relationship between sound and environment. He is known for immersive sound installations as well as traditional album releases, and has exhibited internationally.

Theater am Gleis is a performance venue located in the Deutweg district of Winterthur. Originally a railway repair workshop – hence “am Gleis” meaning “on the track” – it was converted into a cultural center in the 1980s. The space maintains much of its industrial aesthetic, featuring high ceilings and exposed brickwork. It hosts a diverse program including theatre, dance, concerts (spanning various genres), and visual arts exhibitions. The venue is recognized for its support of independent and emerging artists, providing a platform for experimental and unconventional performances. It’s capacity is approximately 200-250 people depending on the event setup. The theater is operated by the city of Winterthur's cultural department.
