Orchestre de Paris is renowned for its interpretations of both standard repertoire and contemporary works, frequently commissioning new pieces and demonstrating a versatility across musical periods from the Baroque era to the 21st century. Established in 1967, the orchestra has a history of collaboration with prominent conductors and soloists, developing a reputation for technical precision and expressive performance.

The concert will take place at Philharmonie de Paris, a concert hall inaugurated in January 2015. Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, the building is notable for its acoustics and innovative architectural features, including a modular concert space – the Grande Salle – capable of adapting to different ensemble sizes and performance styles.

Philharmonie de Paris is situated in the Parc de la Villette, a large park in the 19th arrondissement of Paris originally created for the bicentennial of the French Revolution in 1989. The complex encompasses not only the Grande Salle but also smaller venues dedicated to chamber music and educational activities, as well as exhibition spaces focusing on music history. It serves as a major cultural hub for both performance and music education within France.
