Orchestre de Paris is renowned for its interpretations of both standard classical repertoire and 20th and 21st-century compositions, frequently championing contemporary French music alongside works by international composers. Founded in 1967 as a response to a perceived lack of a permanent, high-quality orchestral body in Paris, the orchestra quickly established itself as a leading ensemble, known for its flexibility and distinctive sound. It has collaborated with numerous celebrated conductors and soloists throughout its history.

The concert will be held at Philharmonie de Paris, a concert hall inaugurated in January 2015. Located in the Parc de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, it represents France's national concert institution. The complex comprises a Grande Salle with 2,400 seats, known for its exceptional acoustics designed by Yasuhisa Toyota; a smaller, more intimate concert space called Studio; and several rehearsal rooms.

Philharmonie de Paris was conceived as part of a larger project to revitalize the Parc de la Villette, originally built for the bicentennial of the French Revolution in 1989.
