Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, founded in 1906, is Sicily’s principal orchestra and performs a broad repertoire spanning from Baroque to contemporary classical music, with a particular focus on Italian composers. The orchestra frequently collaborates with internationally renowned soloists and conductors. Its musical style is characterized by a rich, emotive sound reflecting the island's cultural heritage alongside adherence to established orchestral traditions.

The concert on June 27, 2026 will be held at Villa Filippina in Palermo. Completed in 1896 by Francesco and Antonino Filippina as a private residence, the villa represents a significant example of Art Nouveau architecture in Sicily. It showcases elaborate decorative elements including wrought iron, stained glass, and ceramic detailing. Following the death of the last family member in 1954, it was bequeathed to the city of Palermo with the stipulation that it be used for cultural events and as a venue for artistic expression.

Today, Villa Filippina functions as a multi-purpose cultural center hosting concerts, exhibitions and conferences; its gardens are also open to the public. The building’s acoustics and unique aesthetic contribute to its appeal as a performance space.
