Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, one of Italy’s oldest and most prestigious musical institutions, will perform at Auditorium Parco della Musica on May 27, 2027. The orchestra’s repertoire spans a broad range, though it is particularly renowned for its interpretations of 19th and 20th-century orchestral works, frequently showcasing both standard repertoire and contemporary compositions. Historically linked to the patronage of the Roman aristocracy and the Catholic Church, the orchestra now operates as a foundation, maintaining a commitment to musical excellence and innovation.
Auditorium Parco della Musica, opened in 2011, is a major performing arts complex in Rome designed by Renzo Piano. The *Santa Cecilia Hall*, where the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia regularly performs, is its largest venue, known for its exceptional acoustics achieved through a unique “shoe box” design modified with movable panels to adjust reverberation. The auditorium itself forms part of a larger parkland area intended to revitalize the Flaminio district of Rome. Its construction aimed to provide Rome with a modern concert hall comparable to those found internationally and has become a central hub for musical activity in the city.
