Opus Kink is scheduled to perform at Thekla, Bristol on October 25th, 2026. The band creates music generally described as ‘post-punk’ with elements of art rock and krautrock, often characterized by driving rhythms, angular guitar work, and distinctive vocal delivery. They have gained recognition for their energetic live performances and increasingly complex compositions since forming in the early 2020s.

Thekla is a unique venue in Bristol, housed on a former Finnish icebreaker ship permanently moored in the city docks. Originally built in 1902 as the *Fennia*, the vessel served as an icebreaker until 1951. It was later converted into a pub and live music venue, opening in its current form in 1984. The ship's interior retains much of its original character, offering a distinctive atmosphere for performances.

The venue is known for hosting a diverse range of musical acts, particularly those within alternative and independent genres. Its relatively intimate capacity – approximately 250 people – contributes to its reputation for close-up and engaging shows.
