Nouvelle Vague will be performing at The Old Market in Brighton and Hove, United Kingdom on March 10, 2027. The French musical project is known for its distinctive approach to performing primarily post-punk, new wave, and riot grrrl songs. They reinterpret these tracks as bossa nova and jazz arrangements, often featuring female vocalists. Formed in 2000, the group’s aesthetic centers around a cool, detached delivery contrasting with the original energy of the source material.

The Old Market is a multi-arts venue situated in the heart of Brighton’s city centre. Originally built in 1827 as a stable and market hall, it underwent significant renovations in the late 20th century to become a performance space. It’s recognised for its intimate atmosphere and diverse programming, hosting events spanning theatre, dance, music, comedy and visual arts. The building retains many of its original architectural features including exposed brickwork and a high vaulted ceiling. It operates as an independent venue committed to supporting both established and emerging artists. The Old Market has a capacity of approximately 250 people standing or 180 seated.
