Nouvelle Vague is a French musical project founded in 2004, known for its unique approach to performing primarily post-punk and new wave classics. The group reimagines songs originally by bands like Joy Division, The Cure, and Blondie, rendering them in a bossa nova and jazz style, typically featuring female vocals. Instrumentation commonly includes acoustic guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards.

Kulturarena Jena is an open-air venue located in the Lobeda-West district of Jena, Germany. Originally constructed for the Federal Garden Show (Bundesgartenschau) in 2007, it has since become a significant location for cultural events in the region. The arena’s design allows for flexible configurations accommodating various event formats, including concerts, festivals and theatrical performances. It boasts a capacity of approximately 13,000 people for concerts depending on stage setup. The venue is managed by JenaKultur GmbH, the municipal cultural company of Jena. It regularly hosts nationally and internationally recognized artists across diverse genres throughout the warmer months. The surrounding parkland provides additional space for associated activities during larger events.
