Nouvelle Vague is scheduled to perform at Koko in London on March 5th, 2027. The band is known for its unique approach to performing post-punk, new wave, and indie rock classics – primarily from the 1980s – entirely in a bossa nova style. Formed in Paris in 2004, they reinterpret songs originally by artists like Joy Division, The Cure, and Depeche Mode with acoustic arrangements featuring female vocals and a distinctive Brazilian rhythmic sensibility.

Koko, located in Camden Town, London, has a rich history as a venue for live music and performance. Originally built as a theatre in 1900 and initially named the Music Hall, it underwent several transformations including periods as a BBC cinema and a nightclub before becoming dedicated to live music again in the late 20th century. The building features a Victorian-era interior with ornate detailing and a domed ceiling. Significant renovations were completed in 2022 following a fire in 2020; these works aimed to restore many of the original architectural features while upgrading technical capabilities for modern performances.
