Norrköping Symphony Orchestra is a professional orchestra with a broad repertoire spanning from the classical and romantic periods through to contemporary compositions. De Gerrhallen is a former industrial building in Norrköping, originally constructed as part of the city’s textile industry in the late 19th century. Specifically, it functioned as a drying hall for textiles – hence “De” (The) “Gerr” (drying) “hallen” (hall). Following the decline of the textile industry, the building underwent extensive renovation in the 2010s, transforming it into a multi-purpose cultural venue.

The space retains many of its original architectural features, including high ceilings, exposed brickwork, and large windows, creating a unique acoustic environment. De Gerrhallen now hosts a variety of events including concerts, exhibitions, conferences and theatrical performances. The venue's industrial heritage provides a distinctive backdrop for artistic presentations and contributes to Norrköping’s cultural landscape.
