De Gerrhallen is a former industrial building in Norrköping, originally constructed as part of the city’s extensive textile industry during the late 19th century. Specifically, it functioned as a spinning mill for the Holmens Bruk paper mill. In recent years, it has been repurposed as a cultural venue, retaining much of its original industrial architecture – high ceilings, exposed brickwork and large windows – creating a unique acoustic environment. The space hosts a variety of events including concerts, exhibitions and conferences. Its conversion aimed to preserve Norrköping’s industrial heritage while providing a modern platform for artistic expression. The hall's acoustics are noted for their resonance and spaciousness, presenting particular considerations for orchestral performances.
