Landgoed Lauswolt, located in Beetsterzwaag, Friesland, is a historic estate dating back to the 17th century. Originally built as a modest farmhouse in 1648, it was significantly expanded and redesigned in the Classicist style during the late 18th century by state architect Cornelis Crispenz. The estate features extensive gardens designed in the English landscape style, reflecting influences from Capability Brown. Throughout its history, Lauswolt has been owned by prominent Frisian noble families and has served various functions including agricultural use and private residence. Today, it operates as a hotel and event venue while preserving its historical character and architectural significance. A concert by Noord Nederlands Orkest is scheduled to take place on the grounds on July 5th, 2026.
